Where are you located?
We are centrally located on the border of
Tennessee and North Carolina. We are only minutes from the Great Smoky
Mountain National Park. Please note that our cabin management company,
Timber Tops, has two convenient check-in office locations. One location
is on top of the mountain within walking distance of Mountain Rose. The
other location is conveniently located on the main parkway in
Sevierville. (two blocks from Wal-Mart Supercenter.)
Driving Directions to Mountain Rose Cabin:
Coming from Knoxville, take Exit 407 onto Hwy. 441/66, once into Pigeon
Forge turn Left at Light #2 Teaster, Turn Right onto Middle Creek Road,
Turn Left at Dollywood Lane, follow the blue signs for Timber Tops/Eagle
Crest, it will be a left turn just after a church. You will follow this
road, Windy Lane, all the way up the mountain until you get to the
Timber Tops Rental Office. This is right on Eagle Crest Way which you
will take for a short way until you see Mountain Rose on the left at the
end of that road.

Are there Restaurants &
Grocery Stores?
Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the surrounding
areas have over 120 restaurants and at least five grocery stores and a
dozen 'food marts' to choose from.

Do you have a
reservation fee ?
The cabin management company, Timber Tops,
charges a $30 nonrefundable reservations fee. This covers all of the
processing charges and paper work.

Do you supply baby
cribs ?
The cabin management company, Timber Tops, is
happy to supply baby cribs at no charge. You will need to pick them up
and drop them off at either of their two convenient office locations.
Portable playpens are what we supply, for ease of carrying in your auto.
There is a $100 deposit for your crib.

Do I have to drive up any
winding mountain roads?
You will have to drive up a mountain road. It
is a well maintained, paved road. The average vehicle should have no
problem navigating the path. We haven't lost a tourist yet.

What do I need to bring,
are there dishes, sheets, etc. in the Cabin?
All you need to bring, to make your vacation
perfect, is food, charcoal for our charcoal grills, and your clothes. We
provide all your linens, towels, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper,
bath soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap. We do not supply
coffee filters, plastic wraps, aluminum foil, or condiments.

Do I need to clean my
Cabin before I leave? Is there a cleaning fee?
No. However, there is a $30.00 nonrefundable
reservation processing fee per stay. There is also a cleaning fee if the
stay is for one night only. See also "do you have a night minimum?"

What is your cancellation
Policy?
All reservations are subject to a 30-day
cancellation policy. Deposits will be returned, minus a $30 processing
and cancellation fee, on all reservations canceled within 31 days or
more of the reservation start date. Deposits on reservations canceled
within 30 days of the arrival date can only be refunded, minus the $30
processing and cancellation fee, if the cabin is re-rented for the time
frame reserved.
If you cancel within 30 days of your
scheduled arrival, you will risk losing your deposit if we cannot
re-rent the cabin for the dates we have been reserving for you.

What about cancellation
due to circumstances beyond my control?
Mountain Rose and Timber Tops cannot refund
moneys due to circumstances beyond your or our control. We therefore
suggest that if traveling during months of possible bad weather you
consider purchasing 'Trip Insurance.'
To assist you in this matter, Timber Tops has
located a company that appears to cover these types of problems at a
competitive rate. In order to cover all conditions, purchase must be
made within 7 days of confirming your reservation. They may be reached

Do you require a deposit
?
Yes, To hold the reservation we will require
½ the total (minus tax) as a deposit. The total includes the number of
nights to be stayed, tax, and a $30.00 reservation fee.
We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
A check for the amount of deposit can only be
accepted if received within 10 days of the date the reservation was made
and 30 days before you are due to arrive. A check for the balance can
only be accepted if received 30 days prior to the date of the
reservation, we cannot accept personal checks at check-in.
When checks are used for payment,
we will require a security deposit.

Do you have a minimum
nights stay?
Yes, If we have an appropriate availability
we will rent for one night. (extra cleaning fee added) For the most part
we do have a two night minimum and most holidays we require 3 nights.
Thanksgiving & Christmas & all of July & all of October, we require 4
nights.

How do I go about renting
a cabin?
For reservations call 1-800-266-1066. We have a
friendly staff that is looking forward to your call and we're available
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please don't hesitate to ask any
questions, as it is our purpose to assist you in planning for the
perfect vacation. Remember to ask the reservationist the total cost of
the cabin with the taxes and fees.

What is there to do in
your area?
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have over 100
attractions theaters and museums. There are more than 40 attractions on
the Parkway in Pigeon Forge that can keep you entertained for days. You
can please all ages with activities like miniature golf, go-carts, laser
games, an indoor skydiving simulator, unique museums and much more.
Pigeon Forge is also home to Dollywood, with
more rides and games than you can imagine. New at Dollywood this year is
the Tennessee Tornado - the world's 1st spiral loop coaster that takes
you through a mountain tunnel. Also new at Dollywood is the Southern
Gospel Music Hall of Fame Museum.
Pigeon Forge features a number of theaters
where the music of the Smoky Mountains comes alive. Enjoy bluegrass,
country, old time rock and roll, gospel, comedy, magic and some
spectacular dance numbers that are sure to entertain you.
Off the Parkway more activities can be found.
Take the family on an adventure : enjoy white water rafting or tubing on
the river, horseback riding, canoeing, swimming, golfing, fishing,
hiking and helicopter rides.
Gatlinburg is the gateway to the Great Smoky
Mountain National Park. The Parks abundance and variety of plant and
animal life have earned it a United Nations designation as an
International Biosphere Reserve. The Park has more than 9 million
visitors a year- the highest visitation of any national park. There is
over 800 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails in the National
Park. Swim in the pristine rivers and waterfalls the Park has to offer.
The city of Gatlinburg is a picturesque town.
Stroll along the streets, visit the many galleries and gift shops filled
with arts & crafts and Appalachian treasures. Enjoy the many attractions
along the route as well. Miniature golf, arcades, museums and amusement
rides name but a few.
In the winter, Gatlinburg lights up with the
Winterfest Festival. Winterfest features millions of lights that outline
the skyline. Enjoy some of the best snow skiing in the Eastern states.

Can I watch the game?
Television service provided at the cabin is
via local cable. You will have no problem watching any games or
television televised locally or nationally. There should be a channel
guide located in the cabin. Pay-per-view and special events are not
available.
